Happy Wednesday! Grab that cup of coffee and pull up a stool. Last night after our 10K training group I got together with Nicole for a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Nicole is a young woman that I have mentioned multiple times while chatting with y'all over a cup of coffee. She is currently working with Kathy and I with our current 10K group and also worked with us in coaching the half marathon group last fall. Nicole not only has a passion for running, but more importantly a passion for people. Nicole brings a unique love for every person that she encounters young or not so young and her ability to help every type of runner is amazing. While Nicole and my daughter Jennifer are different they are amazingly similar. So it was easy for me to fall in love with Nicole and if I can ever get those two on the same page, they will be amazing friends. Over the past 2 years Kathy and I have been planning the next stage in our life's after we take off the uniform for the final time. Kathy is close as she will be retiring at the end of this year and I am still trying to figure out my time left. With being established here in New Hampshire and Maine with No Finish Line Running, I have had to figure out how I can maintain NFLR here and bring it to our future home in North Carolina? Because NFLR is more than just running, I have been searching for people to join the NFLR team that bring love and passion to runners. Well I am over the top excited to announce that Nicole Spirito has agreed to bring her love, passion, knowledge and enthusiasm to No Finish Line Running! Our meeting last night was amazing because Nicole relayed to me that this opportunity is exactly what she has always wanted and is ready to take NFLR to the next level. Oh my! This is exactly what I have been looking for and every runner we deal with will benefit greatly by this addition. This will be special! No I am not leaving today or tomorrow, but there may be opportunities that will have me on the move, but fear not, I will always have a large presence here in New Hampshire and Maine. For now I am still in Dover despite the selling of our house and what my future brings is still uncertain. No matter what I take on next, New Hampshire and Maine will have the best running resource in NFLR and with the addition of Nicole it will be even better! I have never been more excited about NFLR than I am today! Welcome aboard Nicole! Have a great day and enjoy that last drop! Mike
