Black FridayShort Intervals

Good morning and fill that favorite cup up with coffee. No worries that Friday's Short Intervals would be delayed because I would be out since the wee hours trying to get a 96 inch TV for $11.99. No Black Friday here, just a little more sleep than our typical Friday. Maybe next year NFLR will have some "Black Friday" deals that you can get if you show up for a run at like 12:01am. What do you think? Hope you had a Thanksgiving as wonderful as mine! Great food and some special time with my family that I don't see near enough. My wife and I also enjoyed getting lost on the drive there! Because of the forecasted weather prior to yesterday I didn't think a Thanksgiving day run would be easy to accomplish, but as I sat sipping coffee I decided to make it happen. Many probably thought I was a bit daff as I ran in shorts, but I had no problems with the cold and was able to get in 6 miles. Sorry Lidija, I was thinking that I shouldn't have canceled hooking up for a run. I will come clean though; I set up my Christmas playlist on my IPhone and listened to all my favorite Christmas songs while running. A little insider information. Things are looking pretty good that Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) will be offering a June coaching certification here in Portsmouth. I am in the final planning stages with RRCA and hope to have an announcement forth coming. As the RRCA State Representative one of my biggest goals was to bring this highly sought after course to the Seacoast and I'm excited that it's looking like it will happen. If you have any interest in attending the course, I may have a short window to early enroll some people, so let me know. After that it goes public and typically fills up within an hour. Great course, but doesn't necessarily make you a running coach. Still a couple weeks left to get that free gait analysis from NFLR! We have a little lull over the Thanksgiving weekend before we get pretty busy early next week. We are fitting in people as we can, so drop us an email and get your gait looked at. Totally free or if you want to make a small donation to the Krepels Center, that's an option. Many have been surprised at how they actually run in comparison to how they perceive. If you don't get the biweekly NFLR Newsletter be sure to sign up on our front page and start having it delivered to your mailbox this Sunday! Okay, don't go checking mailbox out in front of your house, because it won't be there, but instead we save you the effort and send it to your email(box). This weeks addition has a lot about offseason running and is definitely a must read! Sign up now. My IPhone has over 80 Christmas songs. How many do you have? Christmas music is definitely one of my favorite things about this time of year. That's all I have for today folks. Hope you are enjoying the day off like yours truly. Thanks for sharing your coffee with me! Mike
