Chat without the coffee :(

Good morning! I will be honest this morning. I am out of coffee! That does not mean you can’t fill your cup up and pull up a chair though. Let’s go! Crazy week for me. Tuesday I went to DC for a 2 day 1 night work trip, got back late Wednesday, had a retirement luncheon yesterday, followed by a NFLR health seminar at Stone Wall Kitchen in York Maine and finished off the day with a track workout for a couple of our NFLR clients. All in all it has been a great week and there is more to come! As I said, yesterday we conducted a health/running seminar for the employees at Stone Wall Kitchen over the border in York Maine. When we were asked to come over and put on a seminar, we were more than happy to oblige. The opportunity to talk about the benefits of endurance training as well as our “Intelligent Training” philosophy is something NFLR will never turn down. We are also blessed to have a partnership with Carrie Jose of C&J Physical Therapy and she joined us as well for the presentation. Carrie is an amazing physical therapist and most importantly she understands runners. Together we provided the employees many of the tools they need to consider some type of heart healthy and enjoyable training program. Of course we would love if all of them would get involve with our “NFLR Stone Wall Kitchen” training group that we conduct over in York but, hopefully we gave them incentive to find some type of heart healthy activity. It was lots of fun and we really enjoyed the opportunity. Yesterday’s Stone Wall Kitchen seminar was also a great dress rehearsal for our “No Finish Line Running, Beginner 101 Running” seminar that we will be holding tomorrow beginning at 9:00, at the NFLR Center. We are really excited about the opportunity to offer a free seminar that will educate people on healthy and enjoyable running. Again Carrie from C&J Physical Therapy will team up with the NFLR team to talk about stretching, injury prevention, common running injuries, “intelligent training,” nutrition for runners and much more. Come on by at 9:00 if you are interested in learning something you might know or tell a non-running friend about it. There will be snacks and coffee so come and join us! The seminar tomorrow is also a precursor for our “NFLR Community Spring/Summer Training Group.” This great training group will kick off Saturday, April 30th at 8:00 from the NFLR Center and then will meet again the following Wednesday (6:00PM) at the “7th Settlement Brewery” in downtown Dover. This community group will have the luxury of having from 3 to 5 coaches helping beginners to intermediate runners train for distances ranging from 3 miles to 6.1. If you enjoy meeting people and being part of a great community, this group is for you! Because of diversified staff of coaches we are able help all range of runners so no one gets left behind. I am really excited about this group! For more information go to www.nofinishlinerunning.com or contact us at info@nofinishlinerunning.com. Come be part of a great running community! Sunday I am going to chat about my 12 month plan that I am really excited about, so be sure to have coffee with me then. For now it is time to get a moving. Hope to see many of you tomorrow, if not on the road! Have a great weekend! God Bless! Mike
