Friday morning cofee and chat with the crazy coach!

Good morning and happy Friday! Another busy week for me between a quick trip to the Big Apple early in the week, followed by multiple training groups and tonight my daughter is treating me to a Lee Brice concert down at the Hampton Beach Casino. With having also worked the weekend, I’m definitely feeling a bit beat up from all the activity, but it’s all good and I am grateful. Definitely a challenge to balance all my responsibilities sometimes, but besides needing to do a couple gait analysis, I am keeping up. Things do not appear to be getting any slower, as I have a quick trip to El Salvador at the end of the month as well as some crazy plans at NFLR coming as well. Thankfully I have had amazing support with all the activity from my wife (Kathleen), and Lew. Without them it wouldn’t be possible to make it all happen at NFLR. With 3 groups winding down next week with Saunders, we are developing training opportunities throughout the week that will hopefully give runners an opportunity to continue with their running. Tentatively the plan is to offer Tuesday night track workouts, Wednesday night pub runs, and Saturday morning group runs. Along with all of those opportunities we will allow runners to jump in with our ‘Destination Race” training group runs on Thursday as well. Our thoughts are that schedules vary for people, so offering training groups on specific days is limiting opportunity for some. This idea may mean smaller groups at times, but hopefully collectively we can provide enough opportunities to encourage all runners. My thoughts are that the “Destination Race” training group will be more convenient if runners somewhat build our training around their schedule. So if you wanted to be a part of our “Destination Race” training group or just want to run regularly, now you will have lots of opportunities! We are also looking at a morning run group for those that are morning runners (or want to be happier). Yeah, it all sounds pretty crazy I know, but the goal is to keep runners running and with some help, we should be able to help make it happen! We are so lucky to have a team of 5 certified running coaches that work together to help with all the various individual runners and training groups. Be looking for our new schedule toward the end of this month. Some of you may be already coming to the Center for strength & conditioning with Jasmin, but his classes have gotten crazy full both Monday and Wednesday nights. With the growing popularity and recognition of his training, we are going to begin offering a third early morning class on Thursday’s at 5:30am. This third class is a great opportunity for those that want to get a valuable workout in before work. I know some of you are challenged when it comes to being an early to rise, but studies show that early risers are happier people. Good time to become a morning person! Time to get a moving. Hope your Friday is awesome and that your weekend is even better! See you on the roads. God Bless Mike
