Fridays here and there

Friday brings some quick hitters that I am still working on a good intro title. Busy weekend with 12 hour shifts at the base and longer for others. Seacoast half marathon is 9 days away and final preparation can be seen around Runners Alley Portsmouth. Also final days of training for the Runners Alley training team and I am confident that this group is ready! NFLR is finalizing a huge event that will raise money for a great charity and introduce the seacoast and beyond to gait analysis. More to come as the details are finalized, but this event has me really excited! Last night our half marathon training group celebrated Halloween by upholding the tradition of wearing costumes during our run. Lot's of fun and some very creative costumes. Yours truly came as Buzz Lightyear, while one young lady came in a homemade costume dressed yours truly. How flattering. Nice to have a few laughs! Did a couple gait analysis this week and one was done on Andrew Huebner from Runners Alley who just happens to be the seacoast best runner. With gait analysis you have the runner go at 2 speeds, slow and medium fast. Well Andrew's slow was faster than most people's fast! Great runner but amazingly I think I detected a couple flaws. How do you tell such a great runner that he has flaws??? Going to space is not on my bucket list; New York City marathon is. Didn't stretch or foam roll after last nights 40 minute run and today I'm feeling the results. Our local baseball team won the world series! Have a great weekend! mike
