Friday's Quick Intervals

Quick Intervals Good morning and sorry I have been offline for the past week. I have received some emails inquiring of my absence and I appreciate that some of you noticed! Anyhow today is Friday and that means it’s time for some speed work! Finishing up the 30 days of free gait analysis this weekend, but if you missed out we can be convinced to go into next week. Move fast! Been a great event with a nice amount of money raised for Krempels and many people learning much about their gait! Check out this Sundays NFLR Newsletter as I write a wrap up on our 30 day gait analysis event. I think you will find it interesting and it might even encourage you to get your gait checked out! 12 Days till Christmas, how’s that shopping going? I have done zip and kind of need to get going! We can make it easy for you and your runner family and friends, drop us an email and we will send along a gift certificate for NFLR. Lots of great resources from coaching to complete gait analysis, so make someone’s Christmas with a gift that truly makes a difference. We are going to even offer a New Year’s resolution weight loss package that will help those that make the resolution to get in shape and lose some weight. Unlike a fitness club, we will make sure you keep that resolution! Winter running is here in earnest and we haven’t even hit the official first day of winter! My schedule has not allowed me to run so I haven’t enjoyed my first real winter run yet. Soon I will be out there at 5:30 in the morning roaming the streets of Dover. Hopefully before I have to start dodging snow banks. That may not be possible with the forecast for this weekend! Tomorrow the Yule Light Up The Night 2 mile run will be up in Loudon where you will be able to enjoy a run around the same track that Jimmy Johnnson, Jeff Gordon and many other NASCAR drivers have raced on. Definitely not a NASCAR guy myself but it might be a cool race to do. Hard to believe that we have all of 18 days left in 2013. Not sure if it’s because we have such a short period between Thanksgiving and Christmas, but the idea of 2014 being a few days away blows my mind! I have to really settle down and figure out what I want for myself personally as far as my running for 2014. I have some idea of one goal but will wait before I make any public announcements. With one certain daughter moving to the area, we may take on a mutual goal we have had for some time. Yes, over the next week my youngest daughter will be moving to the area as she is officially done with the academic portion of her Master’s program for Occupational Therapy and will begin her internship locally. Jennifer has been a huge partner from day one at NFLR and I’m excited at her continued involvement. She has done a great job with the NFLR Newsletter however we are now discussing a change to another format that may fit reading habits better. More to come, but I am tremendously grateful for Jennifer’s talents. Time to go strength train. Have a great Friday and thanks for sitting down to coffee with me! Mike
