Friday's quick Intervals
Friday, May 30, 2014 · Mike Davis
Good morning running world! Thankfully it is Friday and that means it's "Quick intervals time". Lace'm up tight and let's go! Great meeting yesterday with one of our clients (Art), who is on the final weeks of his preparation for the Syracuse Triathlon. Art came to NFLR last year with a goal of improving his 13.1 mile run time and get more efficient. At yesterday's meeting he expressed his thanks to us as he faster and more efficient. While we appreciate his giving NFLR credit, we certainly understand Art had to put forth the effort. If you checked in today Art; thanks for the effort and looking forward to the continued partnership! This past Sunday and Monday my Facebook was full of pictures of "friends" that ran the Vermont City Marathon on Sunday. Everyone of these friends were from running groups I worked with over the last 4 years. How cool is that to see so many enjoying a special day like that! Congratulations to all of you that killed it up in Vermont! My back is still tight, but I was able to get in 3 runs so far this week and hopefully be up to a long run tomorrow. Despite the somewhat lousy weather, each day I ran was wonderful! Running is truly a special activity that has so many benefits. Why would a person not want to run! Back to Art again; During our meeting yesterday Art talked about watching the female winner of the Boston finish and seeing how her form is exactly how I have been teaching him. He went on to say how it is hard to know if he's getting it, but seeing that helped with his visualization and confidence. I need to get a video of that! Warmer days ahead so be sure to hydrate and wear that sunscreen! Do you have any ideas for our monthly group runs? Leave a comment! We are looking to set up our monthly group runs to be fun and unique! Help us with both! Time for me to get off the track and head to Concord. Have a great day and thanks for running with me! Mike
