Friday's Quick Intervals

Good morning! This morning I am sitting in a North Carolina Hampton Inn enjoying the complimentary breakfast. Kathy and I down here for a quick couple of days meeting with the our builder. So this mornings Quick Intervals will come from the south! Let's role. Despite being on the road, my goal is be at the start line for the York Days 5K. As I have mentioned a few times, this race is my one of my favorite race. It looks like rain may dampen things a bit, but that's all part of running. Hope to see many of you there! Wednesday nights Portsmouth Runners Alley 10K training group was brutal to say the least! We modified the workout a bit, but not much and every one of the group got it done. Very impressive. I continue to work at building up the miles that I will need to run some of my fall events. I must say that it has not been easy and there are runs that certainly lead me to question what races I will choose in the future, but for now I sticking with the process and being patient. Tough to coach yourself. Runners Alley Portsmouth is doing a walk/run training group that started this week. Probably not to late to jump in for the final 3 weeks, so if you know anyone that could use this introduction, send them to Runners Alley. The goal is to have each participant ready to begin the 5K training group at the end. Great idea! Well time to get moving for me, so I will cut this short. Have a great Friday! Mike
