Friday's Quick Intervals

Good morning! Been a week or so since I last checked in due to less than great health and other stuff. Like many of you I am somewhat less than thrilled with the white stuff, but there's more on the way so live on! Be careful without the sidewalks available. This week has been a little hit and miss with me, today's workout will give me two strength training workouts for the week and if I hit my scheduled run tomorrow, I will have gotten in 3 good runs for the week. Five is a decent number but I am always shooting for the perfect 7! We converted from the Keruig coffee maker to a two in one coffee grinder/maker. We have long known that the most pesticides used is on coffee, which makes sense because of the bugs. Nevertheless the idea that our coffee is saturated with pesticides is not something we wanted to continue drinking daily. Going to grinding our own coffee beans and making our coffee allows us to buy organic coffee beans have the piece of mind that most of our coffee is totally healthy. The coffee is definitely stronger, but hopefully we'll get use to that. Always trying to improve what goes into our bodies. Speaking of what goes into our bodies; I think it's great to have such websites out there as the Foodbabe.com, where they bring people together to help put pressure on companies that use chemicals and other unhealthy ingredients in the products they sell to the public. The latest success story is that Subway is going to eliminate azodicrbonamide from their breads. Now I had to research it a little but considering it is also used to make yoga mats, I can't imagine it being healthy. Subway says the elimination of this chemical has nothing to do with the pressure from the Food Babe, but the fact that they are removing it is all that matters. We are a silly country in that we feed our people many chemicals that aren't allowed in other countries. They even make two types of the same Pringles; one they sell in this country and another that is allowed in Europe. Really! Sorry folks, I have to cut it short today so I can get along! Hope you have a great Friday! Mike
