Lots of Opportunities!

Good morning!
Grab your coffee and pull up a chair.
Busy week for me, working a bunch at the YMCA, preparing for our No Finish Line Fitness Center opening in January, finishing up our 12 Days of Fitmas, and trying to spend some time thinking about Christmas! Undoubtedly, you all are as busy, if not busier! My hopes are for everyone to be able to have to enjoy the Christmas season. Most of my enjoyment right now comes from the many lights I see around the area and the Christmas music I listen to. Sunday evening, I will attend an evening of Christmas music (both listening and joining in with the singing) at my church. I have no doubt the evening will help me focus on the “reason for this season.”
We had some great success with our “12 Days of Fitmas,” based on the large number that viewed it daily on Facebook, as well as the comments many people passed on to me directly. We will continue to find ways in the future to use social media to encourage staying active and fit. Hopefully some of you benefited from the “12 Days of Fitmas.”
In January, we will officially open the doors to our NFLF Center, on Dover Point road (Dover Point Office Park). Soon we will have a calendar of scheduled classes for January and we are really excited about the opportunities we will be offering. While the size of the Center may appear to dictate the class sizes, we actually want small classes, so we can focus on the individuals. Larger classes make it nearly impossible to observe, correct and improve each participants movement. We understand the value of large numbers (financial gain), however our goal is to make sure everyone is correctively and effectively getting the most out of the classes. Physical therapist have been kept extremely busy by the large amount of people who are exercising through group training without any real coaching. Small group training will allow us to make sure everyone is using the correct form and getting the most out of the exercises.
Another opportunity coming in January will be our “Free Orientation Friday.”Beginning Friday January 4th, you can come in and go through a 30-minute free orientation workout. This workout will be based on your fitness goals and will be a great opportunity to start the New Year off! While we will certainly try to accommodate walk-ins, if you want to insure you won’t be waiting, send us an email (info@nofinishlinerunning.com) requesting your free half hour and we will set up a time that works for you.
Lots of great winter running opportunities available. We meet every Saturday (8:30am) and run for 60-minutes from Bagel Grounds and Wednesday evening (6pm), we run 45 to 55 minutes beginning at Henry Law Park. The “Winter Pacers” is a free group run with all levels of runners. It is a great way to keep moving during the winter!
Have a great Friday and find some time to enjoy the Christmas Season!
God Bless!
Mike
