NFLR and Google!

Got an email the other night from my website guru telling me that NFLR has become a hit on Google! Maybe a hit is not exactly the right description but the fact that a search result for a running coach in New Hampshire finds NFLR at the top of the first page is definitely an indication of the hard work we have put in to be NH’s first choice for running resources. No Finish Line Running has been in existence for over 4 years now and from day one my daughter and I set out to serve runners here on the NH Seacoast and afar with sound experienced coaching. We started out with the idea of “no finish line running” and we built a low budget website that would help promote this idea. Thankfully we had two great friends that had professional expertise in the website business so after our initial beginnings they came back to us and guided us to the next step in our development. All along we continued to evolve our philosophy but never losing sight of what we set out to accomplish. Helping anyone that wanted to become a runner, find greater enjoyment in running, improve their running or run healthy became the core of NFLR. These core goals are hopefully captured in our ‘NFLR mission statement'; “No Finish Line Running will help empower individuals and groups of all levels become lifelong runners, through coaching healthy development of their legs, body, mind and their own potential.” Our mission statement and core goals are quite vast in what we seek to provide, but not a week passes that we aren’t seeking to implement another resource that allows us to fulfill our mission statement. In the past year alone we have rolled out improvements to our website, partnered with Runners Alley to share a community room, created an interactive training plan/ training log program and brought the Medical Motion gait analysis system to New Hampshire. All of these additions to NFLR are great resources for all runners no matter their level. In fact over the past month I have done a gait analyses on beginner runners on up to a 2:27 marathoner. While not comparing the skill levels, I have used clips from the various analysis to demonstrate technique. Over the past few months we have done lots of brain storming and had multiple planning sessions, all with the intent of guiding NFLR today tomorrow and beyond. Our core is strong and our mission statement is solid but our structure will be an ever evolving process. We have goals for today as well as four years from today and our structure will definitely evolve as we progress. All the people involved at NFLR are runners and while we enjoy running with clients and training groups, our focus is not on our running but their running. Personally it’s a challenge for me to work with runners and stay at the training level I desire, but it just requires flexibility in my running schedule. My competitive side has learned to accept realities of my priorities. Meaning; the clients and the group trainings come first and that may mean I have fewer opportunities to train the way I might like. I will not give up personal goals I have but I will have to be creative. I’m okay with that at this point in my life and even look forward to the challenges of it. One of our other goals at NFLR is to give back to runners and the community. Each year we will run an event that hopefully combines helping runners while helping the community. Currently we are in the middle of our thirty days of free gait analysis with an optional donation to the Krempels Center. Be sure to reach out to us for your free gait analysis as you will be amazed at what you see! Just the other day a young women expressed total shock over her perceived running gait versus what it actually was. A professional gait analysis is the only way to really “know” how you run! The donation is entirely up to you with no obligation. This will end December 15th so contact us now and set up an appointment. I begin this blog by mentioning the email about our standing on Google search and I am so proud that NFLR has become recognizable on the Seacoast of New Hampshire as well as on a valuable search engine. We are striving to reach as many people as possible so that we can share our passion for running and we are definitely making great progress! Enjoy your Sunday and hopefully you have a short week like yours truly!
