Quick Intervals

Good morning and TGIF! This morning instead of sipping coffee with you I am drinking a glass of water. Been sick all week and coffee definitely is not in my current diet. Sadly all I have really been doing is sleeping and trying to get a few hours in at the base. Hopefully I am on the upswing beginning today but, I haven’t really known until the day starts progressing. Life happens! Coming off of Reach the Beach now I am focused on preparing for the “White Mountain Milers Half Marathon.” I have some work to do if I am going to get the miles in that I would like to be as prepared as need to be. If Kathy and I feel we aren’t able to get the time in we can certainly run the race as a relay which isn’t are first choice. I so much love the course that I really want to run the entire 13.1, so I have some work to do. Tomorrow is critical for me and if my healthy prevents me from running 95 minutes, I will have a tough time getting to 13.1. We shall see. October is moving toward us fast and with that will come changes to things around NFLR. There are only two changes I will mention for now. The first being Pilates will move back to the Center on Tuesday nights at 6pm. If you haven’t done Pilates yet, you need to be there. For the month of October we will offer it free of charge and then in November it will still be a great deal at a $10 drop in. The Center holds 8 to 10 folks so get there early. Bring your own mat or use one of ours. For more information contact us at info@nofinishlinerunning.com. Tuesday’s at the track will come to an end after next week’s track workout. This workout has been a favorite and most definitely will return in the future. As I eluded to there will be other changes to the schedule and those should come out over the next couple of days. Lots of races out there this fall and this weekend NFLR will be out supporting the Wentworth Douglas “Seacoast Cancer 5K, Every Step Matter.” The race is Sunday in Dover and should be a wonderful time and a great event! Time to get moving. Have a great Friday and a super weekend! God Bless! Mike
