Today was interesting. I made myself go to work, only to leave a lunch time, go home and sleep for 90 minutes! No way a healthy Mike takes that long a nap. I could have actually slept for another hour if I didn’t force myself up. Anyhow, I told Kathy if I got some rest I would like to take a run with her when she got home and now I had to get prepared for that. I downed some Gator Aid, had a decent lunch and waited for my wife to get home. She rolled in a bit later than I hoped for and of course it was raining out, so we went back and forth about running. My body didn’t feel much like running, but my mind did, so we decided to run an easy 4 miles and agreed to turn around if it wasn’t going so well. The temperatures were mild and the rain was no big deal, so we splashed through the puddles and made our way around Dover. Not fast, but lots of fun for me running with my wife, something I haven’t done a lot of lately. The pace worked for me as I continue to work on my form and heal strike.
After finishing, I went straight to my basement and did 3 sets of 12 pull-ups, 3 sets of bicycle crunches, 3 sets each arm chest band stretches, 3 sets of single foot squats, straight plank on core ball, side planks, core ball leg crunches and 10 burpees.
All in all, the best I’ve felt in over a week! Tomorrow I will be over at Planet Fitness for my Wednesday Treadmill run! Joy, joy!
See you tomorrow!
