Seacoast's Number One Running Resource and Beyond!

Good morning! Was yesterday not one of those days when you wonder how the heck am I going to make it through another winter! Oh my goodness was it cold and windy! What a night to start our "No Finish Line Running Winter Running" training and I was prepared for a couple people and me. Instead we had 10 people show up at "7th Settlement Brewery" and all but one came prepared to run. What is really cool is that of the people that I expected to be there and weren't they were absent because of reasons other than the chilling temps. Truly we were excited at this turnout of our first winter training group. Just goes to show that runners are not fair weather people and while others head inside for the winter, we lace up our shoes and put on something to keep our ears warm! I must say that the "7th Settlement Brewery" in Dover is a great place to be basing our Tuesday nights run at. There hospitality and awesome local environment is perfect for a local group of runners. Next up for the NFLR Winter training group will be this Saturday morning (8:30) at Juicy Roots in Dover. This is a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the running community in Dover as well as tackle winter running with others. Last night the wind was biting at times but truly it was okay to run and once everyone got moving I think we were okay. Thanks to Andrew Cramb who offered to assist with the group which will enable Lew and myself to spread ourselves out and give us optimal coverage of our runners. Looking at the various current levels of runners, I would say that we have a wide range so do not stay away for fear that you can't keep up. Everyone will fit in and have fun! Because we will run through the winter and into early spring, jump in at any time. There is certainly strength in numbers and last night we all helped each other get it done! "Dover Juicy Roots" Saturday at 8:30, be there and by all means go on inside! Monday night myself, Lew and my daughter Jennifer had a business meeting with our website guy (Doug Mackinnon) and his newly minted wife Katie Mack Mackinnon. Most of the agenda was centered around the Dover Chamber of Commerce and No Finish Line Running. Because we are becoming more active in Dover and coincidentally Mrs. Mackinnon works at the Dover Chamber of Commerce, it seems logical to become partners sort to speak. Katie is a wonderful friend and has been a huge factor in the development of NFLR so with her current position the timing is perfect to foster a relationship with other local businesses through the Chamber of Commerce. Slowly we are leading up to some big things at NFLR and our goal is to be the number one resource for runners all over the Seacoast and beyond. We will continue to have a strong Portsmouth presence as well as our partnership with Runners Alley so don't worry that we will stay on one side of the General Sullivan bridge. Speaking of the NFLR reach, we definitely are building a running resource model that while strong locally, is also more than capable to help runners in far off places as well! Our online coaching with a great runner who resides in Istanbul Turkey is going super. Nicole seems quite pleased with our guidance and technological ability to help her become a stronger and more disciplined runner. Some aspects of working with Nicole are a challenge, but mostly because she is limited to a treadmill and is taking us some time to adjust to as far as managing her training. Otherwise Nicole is getting quality and experienced training that will enable her to accomplish great things with her running. There is one minor glitch with the time zone and her training log, but other than that the NFLR technology has been more than capable. Shout out to Doug Mackinnon and the work he has done to build us a website that supports our capability to help runners everywhere! Between working with runners to improve their running mechanics through gait analysis, designing personal training plans, coaching from beginners to marathoners, working with groups and much more; No Finish Line Running has truly become not only the number one running resource on the Seacoast, but beyond. I started this business with a desire to provide the running community resources that would bring running to a different level for every level and while I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish, I believe we have much more to do. Our experience, in depth training and up to date technology sets us apart from everyone else, but we will not stay still but instead we will continuously develop our resources and knowledge so that we can help every runner develop their ultimate success. Sounds like we have a lot of work ahead and we do, but this is truly a passion for us. Time to move along. Coffee and Greek Yogurt with a half of a pumpkin muffin this morning. Good stuff! Mike
