Sunday morning chat

Good morning and happy Sunday! Today I finish up my monthly drill weekend so while it is good to get it out of the way, it doesn't leave much time for the typical enjoyment of a weekend. Last night I did take my wife to watch "Captain America" and I must say that the movie was very enjoyable. I am not a big movie as I get board easy and would much rather read a book, but my bride enjoys movies so I try to be accommodating on occasions. I must admit I was a comic book reader back in my youth so I do enjoy some of the comic book based movies. Unfortunately like most movies based on a book, they often ruin the original dynamics to appeal to those that have never read a book or comic book. Though this particular movie wasn't true to the Stan Lee's writings, it was very entertaining and fun! The timing of my drill weekend in some ways is pretty good because of my strained calf. Having a few days to let it recover will hopefully help and if it had been a typical weekend I may have been tempted to push through a run. Calf's can be quite nagging if not given the proper care and rest is definitely part of that. A great tool for calf injuries is a slat board and because we are a running household, we usually have one that sits at the end of our couch. However when you are trying to sell your house, those type things have to go into hiding and now I have to figure out where I hid it! The process of trying to sell your house is not the least bit fun and I will be glad on many fronts when it is over! This past week was not the perfect week, but between running and getting in 2 decent strength training sessions, I feel like I have something to build off of. Between being sick, my schedule and preparing our house for selling, it has been very difficult to fit other stuff in. The strength training was more a disciplined task than it was my typical routine, but I got it done. Weeks can be like that! Time to run so I apologize for a not so great chat. Have a great day and see you soon! Mike
