Running Plans & Bio-mechanics - We Got YOU Covered

Good morning!

Last week I chatted from King of Prussia Pennsylvania as I was attending an Association of Clinical Excellence (ACE) Gait Analysis Certification. Previously I had been trained in gait analysis through the material provided by Medical Motion, the company that we purchased our gait analysis system. While my previous training was helpful, I have always felt if NFLR wanted to make a greater impact with runners, we needed to seek out a higher level of knowledge and formal training.

It is great now to be formally certified in gait analysis, but more importantly it is awesome to have a far greater technical competency in analyzing and correcting running gait.

No Finish Line Running was founded on the idea that we want to help all levels of recreational runners in every aspect of functional running, while espousing the joy. With this latest certification, we now have multiple Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) certified running coaches, a American Counsel on Fitness (ACE) certified personal trainer and an Association of Clinical Excellence (ACE) certified gait analysis coach. Kind of funny that we have two certifications with the same acronym.

Our vision from the start was to continuously seek education and we have stayed true to that goal. Our continued knowledge gain really opens up unlimited opportunity to help so many runners and how exciting is that!

The science world has repeatedly determined that the physiological affects of running have far greater benefits on the body than any other sport, yet 8 in 10 runners suffer from injury. Running is not the cause of the injuries. How we train, and poor biomechanics are the culprits.

NFLR now has certification in the three disciplines that directly impact proper training and biomechanics. We have long been the best at developing successful and healthy running plans, we incorporated functional strength training a few years back and we invested in 2D gait analysis to analyze running from (gait analysis).

All these certifications are nice to have, but truly having real knowledge makes us the real deal. NFLR is about helping runners both physically and mentally and having professional expertise important.

We will not stop here.

Our vision will always include further education and that will never cease. We are in a time where studies and science are giving us proven information and data that support the values of running. We will continuously use that information to direct our education and develop it. Pretty cool I think!

Today is Father’s Day and while my dad passed away many years ago, I am blessed to be a father of 3 amazing kids and I thank God for that opportunity and responsibility. I hope all you fathers out there embrace the opportunity and that you have the most amazing Father’s Day!

God Bless!

Mike
